Sporadic is probably the best way
to describe the output from London based soloist Seaker but quality over
quantity is always the best road to take so who are we to criticise. This latest
release, new single ‘Words’, is centred around Seaker’s quietly powerful voice
which has evolved from previous tracks to have a fuller, more soulful tone to
it which is just sumptuous. The slow, soft melody is given some effervescence by
a bubbling beat but at no point does any of this threaten to overtake the importance
of that vocal. It’s a sparse track and a sombre one too but it has real heart
and should be just enough to keep us going until the next release.
