GLASS PEAKS – SINGLE REVIEW

Glass Peaks – (Don’t) Ask Me to Dance

Glass Peaks - (Don't) Ask Me to Dance
Release Date: Out Now

This new track from London trio Glass Peaks is a blissful and chilled out slice of indie that might just be perfect if you’ve had a tough week so far. ‘(Don’t) Ask Me to Dance’ gives a bow with a sprinkle of guitars and rolling, jazz inspired drums that put me in mind of the Maccabees and Incubus at their most experimental. The vocals are light and whimsical without any real urgency but when the chorus crunches in to life you’re suddenly swept away by a tsunami of Mansun-esque melodies, pomp and ceremony. This is a song with movements, changes of direction, pace and emotion all wrapped up in a bundle of ideas and energy that is barely controlled. Give this one a few listens to get the most out of it, it won’t disappoint.
