Toronto’s brilliantly named Tee
Krispil may sound like some sore of health product but she’s actually a solo
artist with intriguing influences from Fleetwood Mac and Erykah Badu to Ghostface
Killa and old-school Reggae. All of that blends together to create a sleepy,
stoned vocal delivery that is part rapped and part Joss Stone delivered with a quiet,
intimate tone in the mix while the beat and bass gently ebb and flow in the
background. There’s a classy, effortless feel to the music while the video is more
lighthearted so it shows what Krispil is capable of in one sub-three-minute
perfectly bound package.
