Kat Frankie has definitely been
one of my favourite finds of 2017 so it’s great to finish the year off with an
extra single from the Berlin based musician. ‘Home’ is an uptempo romp with a pop-punk
beat and razor blade guitars but the pop melodies of Christine & The Queens
and the attitude of Siouxsie Sioux. Frankie’s voice is delightfully smooth but
equally powerful and speaks straight to your head, heart and soul at the same
time. Throw in lyrics that pack a punch and a mesmerising video and you can get
right on board with this without any worries. There’s an album due in February
2018 so save your Christmas vouchers up for that one and you won’t be
disappointed.
