CHERRYADE – SINGLE REVIEW

Cherryade – My Town
Cherryade - My Town

Release Date: Out Now

My affection for London duo Cherryade only grows with each sassy, brassy single they release. ‘My Town’ continues their theme and builds their reputation for being semi-aggressive, don’t-give-a-fuck pop pretenders to the throne of alt-pop edginess but with a Thames estuary accent and some incredibly dirty bass synth squelches. This is the bratty younger sibling of Charlie XCX living in Shampoo’s spare room and using the equipment the Ting Tings left behind to work on a Jamie T number. It sounds like one hell of a party but don’t even think of crashing it without a bottle of Smirnoff and 20 menthols.
