FROZEN HOUSES – SINGLE REVIEW

Frozen Houses – Thursday Lights
Frozen Houses - Thursday Lights

Release Date: October 2017

You know that feeling when you wake up on a Saturday morning in the Autumn and it’s all crisp and sunny outside which gives you a little sense of optimism. Like, what could achieve today? Well, the new single from Cornish artist Frozen Houses opens with exactly that vibe and that’s what makes ‘Thursday Lights’ such a delightful listen. Gently plucked acoustic strings have a quietly jazzy feel about them but plenty of warmth too before those soft, warm vocals waft in like freshly brewed coffee from the kitchen. Frozen Houses belongs in the same category as Badly Drawn Boy, David Kitt and Damien Rice in terms of its warmth and delicacy so if you like your music lo-fi, slightly twee and with the familiarity of a warm blanket then this is the tune for you.

Live Dates:

29th September – Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay
