THE FRANKLYS - SINGLE REVIEW

The Franklys - Comedown
The Franklys - Comedown

Release Date:  25th March 2016

Those globe straddling multi linguists The Franklys are back with a new single and yet another hard working tour of the UK's gallows bothering venues. 'Comedown' drops at the end of March and it's got a lovely little video alongside it that was filmed on many of the same locations as the classic 'Shaun Of The Dead'. The track itself is an absolute belter with a snarling, lip curling riff and machine punching drums providing the backdrop for some menacingly deadpan vocals. Elements of the Long Blondes and the Stooges are in equal evidence but there is a very definite sound to this band that is as enticing as it is disturbing. Go get messed up with these ladies in a town near you this spring, you will regret it but it's always the things that feel the best at the time that you regret later, right? Right, and the Franklys are definitely a band for 'the moment'.
