SQUEEZE - SINGLE REVIEW

Squeeze - Happy Days
Squeeze - Happy Days

Release Date: Out Now

Ah Squeeze. The soundtrack to innocent summers and dad dancing at New Years. The good thing about Squeeze is that, fun as they may be, they've always sounded like chaps that are a little bit older than me so this new slice of Dad Pop just, well, it just works. 'Happy Days' is a breezily strummed, organ lavished and lightly sprinkled with sunshine piece of English indie pop in a long line of tunes that these guys have churned out over the years. Sure, this isn't going to sell millions or change the face of music or get them a headline spot on the MTV Awards next year but, fuck it, they don't need to do that anymore. They've had their hits, earned their reputation and, as far as I'm concerned, they can churn out as many sunshine dad pop tracks as they like. Perfect for a little summer festival action, if you ask me.
