HUNCK - SINGLE REVIEW

Hunck - I'll Wait
Hunck - I'll Wait

Release Date: 16th October 2015

Sinister looking London duo Hunck have a new single out with a vaguely threatening title. 'I'll Wait' sounds like something your passive-aggressive teacher would have shouted back in the day as you nervously tried to think of an explanation for acting out, instead it is actually the latest single from this pair of no good dirty muthas. The gentle guitar strum that opens proceedings is soon augmented by a slightly off-kilter electric guitar riff and some perky drums. Go-go clubs would lap this up as Charles Manson watches on with a semi and a quickly developing murderous plot in his head. The half awake vocals snake in between the guitar notes to create a Doors-esque sound that would fit nicely on a bill with the likes of Lost Dawn, the Zutons and Redd Kross. Guitar pop with an undoubtedly sinister but classy edge - not an easy one to pull off but achieved with mastery here.
