EL BORN - SINGLE REVIEW

El Born - You Made Me
El Born - You Made Me

Release Date: 7th July 2014

There is something of a buzz around El Born and this perplexes me somewhat. Now don't get me wrong, 'You Made Me' is a strong, emotive indie stomper that is destined for the soundtrack of a relatively high budget rom-com with the emphasis on rom. The London duo are also a fine looking pair with the style to fit the slick production qualities and strong songwriting. No, what perplexes me is that the kind of buzz these guys are generating is usually reserved for more edgy, less commercially appealing bands who are less likely to be a success. Backhanded compliment? Perhaps. But there's a compliment in there so I'd run with it. Oh and there's a beautifully weird video featuring an animated spoon and fork going through a little adventure in black and white which is really well worth a watch.
