This new track from future star
Rubee Rayne starts off like the 80s having a coughing fit before slipping
smoothly in to some more contemporary electro grooves which provide the perfect
bed for Rubee's voice to lounge about on. 'Don't Say You Love Me' is the tune
Neneh Cherry would be putting out if she was new to the game in 2014 but beats
and synth noises aside, the real thing to note here is the stylistic range of
Rayne's voice which can go from sultry and dusky to snappy and full of attitude
in the flick of a wrist. The is the second single I've heard from Rubee Rayne
and I've enjoyed both of them but I get the feeling that she is keeping a big,
big tune in her locker ready to unleash when the time is right - she seems like
a savvy lass.
